Military, Small Business Top Approval Ratings

Americans are three times more confident about small business as they are about big business, according to a recent Gallup poll. The Confidence in Institutions survey, which consisted of phone interviews with 1,007 adults, found 59 percent said they have a “great deal” or “a lot” of confidence in small business, compared to 18 percent for big business. The confidence index for big business is the lowest rating since Gallup began conducting the poll in 1973. Small business was last rated in 1998, when it had a confidence index of 57 percent. In the latest survey, the only institution with a higher approval rating than small business was the military at 69 percent. The results reflect an overall decline in approval of the country’s institutions, the survey said.
Corra thinks this makes a lot of sense. Being a small business, we can understand public trust, since small businesses, like Corra, do tend to provide better customer service. Smaller businesses do not have the huge, deep pockets of the mega-corporations and therefore they must offer good service and actually build relationships.
Corra is a small business that likes to cater to small businesses as well as the larger companies in the world. Many small businesses come to Corra for background checks, because we treat them with care and concern, knowing that many are new to pre-employment screening and need a bit of hand holding.
So if you have background screening needs, or if you are conducting tenant background screening, do yourself a favor. Check us out before you hire.
