That’s because most of us will never see the kind of perks that are handed out at some U.S. companies in the name of employee retention.
Each year, Fortune magazine comes out with a list of the best places to work. Each year, most of the companies on the list offer extras that go beyond free coffee and complimentary fanny packs emblazoned with the company logo.

Corra has seen some cheapskate employers in its day. They wonder why their employees show no loyalty and are quick to move on to another offer. A better offer.
Simply put, if you want your employees to stick around, make it worth their while. Offering incentive raises is one way, as well as bonuses and, dare I say it?, equity positions.
But if you are being generous, then it is fair that your generosity should show its own rewards. You desire loyalty and, above all, performance and honesty in your employees.
So make sure you find the right employment candidates, before you start offering incentives. Running a thorough background check will assist your HR people in making the right decision.
