Corra Co-Founder Interviewed on Employment Background Checks

Corra Co-Founder Gordon Basichis has been interviewed about employment background checks on Dianne Gubin’s “Talks Business,” an Internet radio show.

Basichis discussed the importance of pre-employment background checks in today’s business climate.

“In today’s business environment it is essential that companies conduct pre-employment background searches,” he said. “It is not only important to review the actual report but to examine how a series of reports can define the behavior patterns of an employment candidate.”

“With different background reports, each contributes to defining the aspects of a candidate’s personality that make up the overall behavior pattern,” he went on to say. “It often not enough to review the background report on face value. At Corra we are looking to see how each report relates to an overall picture.”

Basichis discussed the increased significance of international background searches and how they are becoming more prominent with the expanded hiring of skilled foreign workers. He noted the often overlooked need for federal criminal and civil searches when reviewing job candidates in the financial departments.

Gordon Basichis, with Nicholas Gustavson, is the founder of Corra Group, which specializes in background searches and corporate research and investigation. Dianne Gubin is the host of her radio show and the head of TechExecPartners, a recruiting firm based in Southern California.
