Tuesday is most productive day

Percentage of executives who said Tuesday is the most productive day of the week for employees, according to the findings of an Accountemps survey: 57 Percentage who said Wednesday: 11 Percentage who said …

Corra finds some humor in this. What with the economic downturn and increased competition in the global marketplace, we would hope that most days enjoy peak production. Tuesday may be the peak day for obvious reasons, the day after Monday the start of the week, and earlier enough that the drain and anticipation of the weekend hasn’t yet set it.

Still, to keep you business running right, your employees had better be giving more of an effort than Tuesday. Sure there is bad news economically, and instability in the workplace. But this may be all the more reason for your employees to step on the gas.

And if they can’t day it, maybe it’s time to recruit those that can. There are enough of them out there, qualified people who were downsized or laid off due to the weak economy.

But if you do recruit new employees, be sure to have a pre-employment background screening process in hand. Run background checks and have a cohesive interview process. Psychological testing should not be out of the question.

Check them out before you hire.
