International Education Verification and Employment Verification

In his posting on Inside Outsource author Tom Hollis advises that what businesses do domestically for their preemployment background checks they should also be doing for international candidates. He sites India as one country where applicants love to pad their resumes, exaggerating or creating past employment histories and college degrees. India is only one country where we at Corra have found it necessary to advise our clients to conduct international education and employment verification. China is another nation where mythological backgrounds are, if not common place occurring enough to warrant caution.

As Hollis attests, this is all indeed a side effect of a booming industry. To address this, we have worked to find reputable background checking sources in nations around the world. Checking out your candidates can sometimes take longer than it will for domestic screening, but it is well worth it.
