Want a Job? Join the FBI

In the devastation of what used to be the American economy, there is one group looking for a few thousand good men and women.   That’s right, someone is actually hiring.  Look no further than the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  According to an article in KHOU.com, the FBI is looking for some three thousand new employees nationwide.  The Bureau is looking for everything from car mechanics, agents, and analysts.    They also need engineers and translators.  This is the largest hiring campaign in the 100 year history of the service.

So, even in this lousy economy, there is at least one hiring bright spot.   Of course, if you are considering applying be sure you have a clean record.  Every applicant must pass a polygraph test.   No funny stuff, not even the youthful misadventures you would just as soon forget about.   You also need a top secret clearance.   Keep in mind, also, that the job applications have been flooding the FBI.

I suppose there is little surprise as to who will be conducting its background checks.
