In a Tough Economy, Leaders Motivate Employees

In Inc.com, Kevin Plank, founder of Under Armour responds in a Q &A about motivating employees.   In this tough economy, his advice could be useful in stabilizing the work place and moving forward in the face of economic adversity.

Plank advises constant communication with your employees.  Keep those channels open. He recommends you hire employees with leadership skills.  This may be a key element in building companies that last for decades, if not centuries.   Build from within.   Surely, the right combination of pre-employment background checks will help employers determine the caliber of employment candidates they are recruiting.   In this recession, and due to layoffs,  most employers certainly have a lot of choices.

Kevin Plank gives some good advice.   He says when you do find employees with a great deal of potential, use them wisely.   Heed his advice and use it wisely, as well.

And remember, check them out before you hire.
