Politicians and Their Background Checks, a Worthwhile Endeavor

It is a new world in the political landscape.   What with the Internet, video, and access to background checks on someone’s history, politicians have to be very careful to see what their oppositiion may have on them before they throw their proverbial hat into the ring.   I suppose you can call it one form of pre-employment screening where you look first before you leap.

According to an article on My Way more and more politicians are hiring private detectives to conduct background checks on them in order to see what negative information they may encounter if they decide to run for office.  Smart move, given all the dreadful information that has rolled out on any number of candidates in recent years.

So business is up for PI’s as more potential political candidates consider running for office.  And in keeping with the times, more than a few  political candidates have enjoyed at least somewhat colorful pasts.   The background checks should give them a heads up as to what they may in for once they hit the public spotlight.  Who knows, maybe we the public will get luck, and some of them, once they see what’s in store,  will decide not to run for office.
