Yesterday, I wrote an article on social media background checks. I also commented on the article written by Gizmodo’s, Matt Honan,. Honan’s article commented on how he flunked his social media background check, the one conducted by the new social media employment screening group, Social Intelligence.
I pointed to some of the positive aspects regarding social media background checks. I also pointed to some of the pitfalls and vagaries. The information, for one, is not as clear as a criminal records background check. And with Social Intelligence, there are limitations to the information the service will return on any employment candidates.
Others also found Honan’s article worthy of discussion. On Media Post…http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&art_aid=153791
