Online Jobs Continue to Rise
Online job ads continued to grow last month, driven by strong demand for private-sector legal associates, law school graduates, and summer hires, Monster.com reported this week.In March, 15 of 20 industries tracked by the online job board registered increases, along with 20 of 23 job categories, the report said.
The increases marked the second consecutive month of gains and a 13 percent growth rate over the past year, the report said.
“The U.S. job market continues to exhibit signs of continued stability, which should be comforting to active jobseekers,” Steve Pogorzelski, a group president at Monster Worldwide, said in a statement.
Pogorzelski warned the tight labor market was fueling fierce competition among employers for this year’s college graduates seeking entry-level jobs.
