A common challenge for sole proprietors is that they simply don’t have enough manpower to accomplish everything. If hiring extra employees isn’t possible, maybe it’s time to bring on a virtual business partner.Biz2Go, a British online resource portal for small businesses, recently launched My Virtual Business Partner, a service designed to help entrepreneurs who need the extra hands. My Virtual Business Partner, or MVBP, connects business owners with an online network of freelance employees, saving them the cost of having to recruit and train additional staff, but creates the experience of having a partner or highly-skilled employee on board. MVBP is a pay-as-you-go service and users determine the length of the service based on their needs. Users can sign up for hourly, daily, weekly or monthly subscriptions and are assigned a virtual “partner” for the duration of that subscription. For the entire article, go to Inc.com.
Corra has always liked the idea of virtual workers. But reports show that virtual workers can often goof on the job, more so even than the employees you presently have in house who are goofing on the job. Between EBay, Porn and Gossip Sites, it is small wonder. Just kidding.
What is no joke is that these employees, virtual or not, represent your business. So whether you are recruiting your own virtual employees or getting them through a service, make sure they are subjected to a pre-employment screening program. It always makes sense to run the criminal check and social security trace. You may also want to run a credit report, which indicated financial responsibility, and if they drive for you in any was a Driver’s Report is in order.
Check them out before you hire.
