Tennessee Floods Effect County Criminal Background Checks

While most eyes are focused on the oil spill debacle in the Gulf of Mexico that threatens the coast of Louisiana, there is yet another disaster occurring in the American South.  Tennessee is flooding and waters in some parts are rising to precarious levels.  For those who order county criminal searches as background checks for their pre-employment screening program, please realize that patience will be a virtue when ordering them from Tennessee.  While most county criminal searches typically return in 24 to 72 business hours, there will be delays.

Please read this notice–

The Central and Western portions of the State of Tennessee are experiencing weather delays.  Much of the area has been affected to some degree by storms and flooding.  Some courthouses are temporarily closed.  Temporary interruptions in service may occur over the next several days.

Additionally, for those conducting background checks in Kentucky, please take note of the price changes for the Kentucky State Non-Criminal Database search.  As for May 5th, 2010 the State Fee for the  Kentucky Statewide Criminal Search will increase form its current rate of $10.00 to $15.00.   This is what Kentucky will charge for this search.
