Corra Group Offers More Types of Drug Tests to Accommodate Heavy Demand for Employment Screening

Corra Group is offering more drug testing services in order to meet increased client demands for drug testing for employment screening. The El Segundo, California headquartered background checking company has found that among its clients drug testing has increased by over fifty percent.

“Drug testing is on the increase,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Nick Gustavson. “It is becoming for some businesses the obligatory background check. I wouldn’t say we have doubled what has already been a brisk drug testing program, but we have seen maybe fifty percent more orders for drug testing. Request for our drug testing services are in demand in most major cities, including those located in states where Marijuana is legal.

“Tests are needed for different reasons. In many cases it is in the healthcare industry and there are certain compliance mandates for those working in the healthcare industry. But then we are seeing the increase in drug tests in a variety of industries and we at Corra Group believe this is due to increased concerns about the opioid abuse permeating this country. In fact, many clients who are not healthcare related openly voice to us their lack of concern for positive marijuana tests while expressing elevated concerns about opioid positivity.

Gustavson noted that Corra Group offers everything from the basic five and ten panel drug tests to the more advanced drug testing that included alcohol and opioids. He pointed out that Corra Group offers two kinds of hair follicle drug tests, one a basic five panel and the other with expanded opiod panels.

“The hair follicle drug test is the most accurate,” said Gustavson. “That drug test will produce positive drug tests as far back as ninety days. It is also more difficult for an employment applicant to cheat on a hair drug test. Where a drug using applicant may be able to wash out their drugs enough to register negative in several days to a week, with hair testing there is nothing to wash out. Drug residue is in the hair. And even if you shave your head, the collection site can snip hair samples from other parts of your body.”

The El Segundo, California based company I can offer corporate research and due diligence background checks for most countries.

“Corra Group markets its services to all types of business entities,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Gordon Basichis. “We service global investigators, private equity and venture capital groups, and a variety of corporate entities who are preparing to enter into mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, vendor relations, or just to get a better sense of their business competition.

“We can provide a full range of background checking services,” said Basichis. “This includes international criminal records and international civil records checks, reputational searches, business credit reports, threat assessments, and open source intelligence reports. We customize the due diligence or corporate research package to best fit a client’s needs. We are cost effective.”

Basichis made mention that Corra Group had added to its employment screening services, and has been conducting due diligence and corporate research on domestic and global levels for nearly a decade. He noted that the company has expanded from providing relatively modest due diligence services to now offering a full suite of background checks and assessment reports.

“Since the Great Recession, we have been working to expand our corporate research services,” said Basichis. “The Recession taught a great many companies that you cannot take a potential partner or vendor’s solvency at face value. Until that time many businesses and financial investment groups were assuming that target subjects were what they represented themselves to be. For even large, multi-corporate entities, they learned a hard lesson that this was not always the case.

Our international background checking services also apply to technology companies who also hire staff on a global scale.

“In addition to international criminal records searches, which we can offer in any country, we also conduct civil records searches, international social media searches, the global terror watchlist, and even driving records,” said Basichis. “The global terror watchlist is not just about terrorists, but reports from dozens of global agencies anyone who has been sanction or who cannot work or do business in the United States. For employment screening Corra Group offers http://www.corragroup.com/social-media-background-check.html and international education verification and international employment verification.”

Basichis pointed out the alarming discrepancy rate international candidates, claiming degrees that they never obtained. He noted that the candidate may have only gone to school for a few semester or may have never gone to that school at all.

“International social media searches typically report the negatives,” said Basichis. “These reports can alert a production company or ad agency that neither the prospective talent or job applicant may have the kinds of issues that can cause concern. We have seen content gleaned from the social media reports where the client realizes that this may be the last person they want representing their client’s products, or appearing on a reality television show.”

Corra Group Provides PSP Pre-Employment Screening Program Reports for Commercial Truck Drivers

Corra Group is providing Pre-Employment Screening, or PSP Driver Safety Reports, to Trucking Companies for their commercial drivers. PSP Reports are issued through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and details the safety records for any driver holding a commercial driver’s license.

According to information posted on the FMCSA website, “PSP helps carriers make more informed hiring decisions by providing secure, electronic access to a commercial driver’s five-year crash and three-year inspection history from the FMCSA Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS).

“PSP reports can help trucking and transportation companies best assess their new driving applicants,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Nick Gustavson. According to the FMCSA, having knowledge of a driver’s safety record, through PSP reporting, can lower the accident rate by around eight percent, and out of service time by about 17%. This is substantial when a trucking company is depending on its drivers to carry a load from Point A to Point B, without any incident.

“To be Department of Transportation Compliant, trucking companies must run the motor vehicle driving record on new drivers,” said Gustavson. “Employers must run MVRS on all drivers, annually. While the MVR is mandated by the DOT for compliance purposes, the PSP is not necessarily required. But many of our trucking clients have found it is a good companion piece to be run, initially with the MVR. Employers have a better overview on their potential hires.

Gustavson pointed out that Corra Group offers MVR Reports in every state in the Union, most of Canada, and Puerto Rico. Depending on the state, he noted, turnaround times can range from less than a minute to several days, or in the case of Pennsylvania, it can take two to three weeks.
