Rhode Island Motor Vehicle Driving Records will increase, as of November 1st, 2009. Abstract Driving Records for Rhode Island will increase from $19.50 to $20.00. As each state looks to increase rates for public services in order to shore up their budgetary deficits, quite a few have raised prices on their MVR reports. Rhode Island driving record reports happen to be among the more expensive in the country.
But MVRs are important, vital to trucking and transportation firms and to employers who have employees driving for them. The Department of Transportation or DOT mandates that Commercial Driving Licensed Operators have their Motor Vehicle Driving Records reviewed at least once every 12 months. For those employers who want to be sure their drivers are qualified to meet insurance compliacne thresholds, the driving records are compulsory.
So bad economy or good economy, there is no getting around the MVR driving reports. You can be sure the Department of Motor Vehicles will continue raising prices in most states, and for sure we will be paying for the convenience of being able to retrieve them. So be aware, come November 1st, pricing f or Rhode Island MVRs will increase by $.50. I am sure we can all afford that price change.
Check them out before you hire.
