iPhone Users Plagued by Software Problems

Okay, so here at Corra we all ran out and signed up for AT&T so we can get the new IPhone. And then one smart, tech savvy soul among us, cautioned that the lines would be longer than the opening of a new blockbuster movie. He cautioned as well that there would likely be software problems, at least, with the new IPhone that would need to be ironed out before the gizmo of the moment was really useful.
What a smart guy. As this article reflects, all is not perfect in Geek City. There are tech problems the bane of existence for geeks and normal humans alike. All that time in line just to discover your new play toy doesn’t work as it should. As they used to say about sex and marriage, we are all so glad we waited,
But this brings to issue whether your new employees are tech savvy. Are you running as part of your background checks, the reference verification, education verification or the interviews that would indicate your man or woman is ready for this modern world? This is important stuff, even for the non tech jobs, since there is a lot of down time related to the non-tech savvy workers who are intimidated by any new technology. They will take way too long in learning how to use the new technology, or, worse, they may try to avoid it altogether.
So as part of your background checking process, be sure you can determine that your employment candidates are up to date in their understanding of technology. Better still if they approach is not stand firmly on the cutting edge of it all.
Technology will always be developing. Make sure your employees are prepared to develop right along with it. Check them out before you hire.
